It isn’t because they don’t know about their own company; it is more a test to make sure you did your homework! Why would you want to work for a company you know nothing about anyway? Employers will pay attention to how you answer their questions during a job interview. It is best to keep your answers clear and succinct. In other words, say a lot but in a little.

Employers will pay attention to what you say during a job interview. If they ask about your previous employer and you immediately spit out negative information, it won’t look good. Try using phrases such as, “I am just looking for a better opportunity,” or, “The position wasn’t challenging me.”

Job Interview Hint #10: Maturity

At the end of your interview, the employer tells you that you aren’t a good fit, how do you handle it? You can say one of two things: a) “Thank you for your time and keep me in mind if something comes up where I would be a great fit,” or b) “You jerk! You will regret not hiring me!” Now keep in mind, just because you weren’t hired today, doesn’t mean they won’t have a position for you at a later date! Build your network, don’t burn a bridge!
